PWCS
(Polyvalent Wireless Communication System)
PWCS is a point-to-multipoint wireless communication technology that enables the simultaneous delivery of telephony, high-speed internet, and video via a satellite connection, without the need for terrestrial cables such as fiber optics. Patented by WIPO, this system reduces infrastructure costs in rural and isolated areas while enabling widespread coverage of digital services.
It aims to address the lack of access to the internet and telecommunication services across the African continent.
RETICE
(Network Energy, Information and Communication Technology in Education Network)
RETICE is an educational platform and local digital network comprising a server, end-user devices (tablets, PCs), and educational applications that enable the exchange and distribution of educational resources without an Internet connection. Its structure provides a self-contained educational intranet, facilitating remote or in-person instruction, exchanges between teachers and learners, and the creation of local educational content. This system helps bridge the educational digital divide, particularly in areas where Internet access is limited or costly.
RENAL
(Retice Renal Smart 80/20)
In the context of digital education, “Retice Renal Smart 80/20” is an integrated solution combining RETICE with smart digital infrastructure—including tablets and synchronized learning management platforms. It incorporates (solar) energy storage units to power equipment in areas lacking a reliable electricity supply.
In this context, RENAL refers to the comprehensive architecture or offering that enables access to educational resources, communication, and course management, while relying on PWCS to provide connectivity in the absence of an Internet connection.
